CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY? TBD
WILL GEAR CHECK BE AVAILABLE? No.
ARE DOGS OR STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THIS COURSE? Pets are not allowed on this event due to insurance restrictions. ONLY SINGLE STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED due to course restrictions. Those lining up with wide double strollers will be asked to return to their vehicle rather than participate in the event. Strollers should be able to handle a variety of surfaces including unpaved trails.
ARE HEADPHONES ALLOWED? The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this event. If you must use them we STRONGLY suggest using only one earbud and keeping the volume low enough to be able to hear Course Marshall and Safety Monitor instructions while running. This is not a closed course.
WILL THERE BE BATHROOMS ON THE COURSE? Restrooms will be available INDOORS but ONLY at the Start/Finish area.
IS THERE A COURSE TIME LIMIT? Since only a very small portion of our route is closed to traffic we do not have a course time limit for either the 5k or 10k events. We do however need to be cleared out of Kamiak by noon and we really, really want to be there to greet you when you cross the finish line! Please plan on meeting or exceeding a 22 to 23 minute per mile pace to make sure you get all the recognition you deserve when you are done. We will have crew members walking both the 5k and 10k courses as "sweep" so you will never be left to walk alone out there, regardless of your pace.
TIMING Your race time will be recorded using RFID chip technology. Be sure to pin your chip on the outside of your clothing between your knee and your hip so that the antennas pick you up. Please wear your bib on the FRONT of your clothing when you cross the Finish Line.
AWARDS and CELEBRATION Official times will be posted no later than 5pm on Race Day on this website. Overall 5k winners will be awarded at 10am, 10k at 10:30. Age group winners will receive their awards in the mail. Age Group award is a ribbon with your race accomplishments noted on the back. Please allow 30 days for mailing.
